A group of 3 unique ceramic or pottery sculptures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, including: DIXON, Stephen (British, b. 1957). Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson on the Moor. 1979. Painted ceramic statue. Signed on the back of the base. Approximately 10 ?? high. One of Holmes? fingers is missing. -- A pair of pottery statuettes of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. [England: Chelsea Pottery, ca. 1980s-1990s]. Painted pottery statuettes - commissioned work, one of only two pairs ever created. Statuettes depict Holmes standing holding a book and Watson seated reading a newspaper. Holmes approximately 5? high; Watson approximately 5? high. Holmes? book skilfully re-attached (some occasional tiny scuffs near book), Watson?s right leg skilfully re-attached (some tiny scuffs at repair).
