African American Soldiers Real Photo Postcard Group (5). Circa 1920s–1940s. Group of five real photo postcards depicting African American soldiers in uniform, including both studio portraits and more informal images. Subjects are shown in U.S. military dress, with several wearing helmets and insignia, and one posed with an American flag; another image shows a soldier holding a firearm. The group spans multiple photographic styles and likely dates from the interwar through World War II period. A compelling and scarce grouping documenting African American military service in the early 20th century. Each approximately 5 1/2 x 3 1/2". 

Condition varies, with creasing, edge wear, staining and some losses to corners and other areas.
