Turnbo-Malone was an inventor and entrepreneur, who invented a popular hair care product for African-American women, the ?Wonderful Hair Grower,? which was a non-damaging hair treatment. She founded Poro College in 1917 to train cosmetologists and as a factory for her products. Two years after founding Poro College she was a millionaire.
