Each work contains a color lithograph vignette on half?titles, numerous historical portraits on India paper, frontispieces and plates in 3 states: first state, remarque, and after remarque; each with printed captioned tissue guards. Early half dark plum morocco over marbled boards, raised bands, spines gilt, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers (occasional rubbing to spines, contents clean). LIMITED EDITION, number 85 of 250 copies from the ?Large Paper Japan Edition? printed on Japanese vellum. A handsome set.
