[ALLESTREE, Richard] (1619?1681). The Works? Oxford and London: Roger Norton for Edward Paulet, 1704. 2 parts in one volume. Folio (382 x 237 mm). Engraved frontispiece by Van der Gucht, engraved title vignette to each part. Finely bound in early full black morocco rebacked with original spine laid down, covers elaborately paneled in gilt, covers with mitered frames composed of gilt rules, decorative rolls and floral sprays, outer border formed by leafy flower stems trailed with tulips and acorns, raised bands, elegant scrollwork in compartments, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers (tender joints with splits, rubbed corners, light marginal toning; else clean).
