[337, sic]-[388] pp. This copy lacks the scarce map of North America, seldom found. Disbound, bound into modern full brown leather, boards triple-ruled in gilt, spine lettered in gilt, modern marbled endleaves. The Declaration appears on pp. 361-362. FIRST EDITION OF ONE OF THE EARLIEST BRITISH PRINTINGS OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE. 

The Declaration of Independence appears complete, except for references to King George III and Prince George IV, as well as the words "tyranny," and "tyrant."

Condition

A few leaves trimmed a bit close at top with minor occasional loss (not affecting the Declaration), light offsetting to the first page of the Declaration (p. 361). Still, fine.
