An immense collection of antique family photographs. V.p., v.d. (bulk American, 19th/early 20th century). A single owner's accumulation of antique family portraits and assorted vintage photographs, including the following:

9 photo albums, and two photo scrapbooks, with cabinet card, CDV, and occasional tintype photographs of people of all ages (one smaller album with portrait of Ulysses Grant on cover, and includes CDVs of Sherman and Sheridan among various contemporary family portraits).

6 three-ring binders containing cabinet cards, CDVs, snapshots, and some tintypes of various people; on many different American and occasional European studio mounts.

A banker box filled with antique photographs, many mounted, including portraits, large family and social gatherings, residences, and others, including some occupational and outdoor views.

Sizes vary, majority 6 1/4 x 4 1/4" and smaller.

Altogether, approximately 1,000 or more images. An excellent lot for further research or resale.

Condition

Photo albums generally well-worn; some mounts chipped, but well-kept overall.
