Archive of CBS Radio Photographic Stills. 1940s. An unsorted collection of over 200 photographs of male radio personalities, each with a studio descriptive label attached, detailing the name and program in which the subject would be appearing. Nearly all photos (7 x 9?) represent male performers appearing on the radio, including many film actors of the immediate postwar period. Some of the names noted are Humphrey Bogart, Jimmy Stewart, Joe Louis (The Brown Bomber), Red Barber, Tyrone Powe, Charles Laughton, Ronald Colman, Lionel Barrymore, Edward R. Murrow, Sir Laurence Olivier, Jackie Coogan, Morey Amsterdam, George Burns and Gracie Allen, Amos and Andy, Ozzie and Harriet, Lowell Thomas, Arthur Godfrey, Joseph Cotten, and others. In many instances there are a few photos of single star, but there is no duplication of images. Most with curling but will lay flat with proper storage. All 7 x 9?. Very good.
