[BARNSLEY, Stephen, British, ca. 20th century, designer]. Sherlock Holmes Centenary Plate and Mug. England: Caverswall Fine Bone China, 1987. Beautifully designed bone china plate with illustration of Holmes on the moor with elaborate gilt decoration (#87/100) and mug with the same illustration and two lion heads on each side, also with elaborate gilt (#79/100). Plate is approximately 10 ?? in diameter, and mug is approximately 3 ?? in diameter and 4 ? high.
