BARRIS, George (b. 1925-2015). Batmobile Ride-On Toy. Marx Toys, ca. 1966. Plastic ride-on toy with yellow bat fins and accents with working steering wheel, knobs, and metal levers. ?Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder? sticker on trunk, with headlights stickers, and Bat symbol sticker on hood. George Barris?s signature present on trunk in silver ink. Barris built the original Batmobile (a modified Ford Futura) for the 1966 television series, The Munster?s coach (?Drag-U-La?), the Wagon Queen Family Truckster for National Lampoon?s Vacation (1983), KITT from Knight Rider, and many more. Approximately 36 x 14 x 15?. Some wear, and soiling. One of the bat fins is cracked. Loose accessories and push handles missing. Wheels roll easily. Very good.
