[BASEBALL]. 1888 Bristol Base Ball Club. [Boston]: G. H. Hastings, 1888. Lithograph of a baseball team at play. Approximately 13 ? x 20 ??. Lower right corner creased. Excellent. THIS LITHOGRAPHED FINELY RE-PAINTED FROM ITS ORIGINAL STATE. This lithograph was originally ?Boston Baseball Club, 1888? for Andrews Boston Club Cigar, but was re-painted to make the players jerseys state ?Tilton? among other changes. This was mounted on contemporary mat (included) with the new manuscript caption, as well as manuscript identifying the players (mat 20 x 26?). Mat sunned, toned, foxed. A charming and unique item.
