First-generation Underwood & Underwood press photo of the American League Park (i.e. Griffith Stadium), where the Washington Senators and New York Giants would open the 1924 World Series. Several men are seen on the diamond. Affixed mimeographed slug dated 9-30-24. 8 x 10?. Underwood & Underwood stamp, credit in negative, and original slug affixed. Slight edgewear. A rare image of the park taken just days before what is regarded as one of the greatest World Series of all time.
