[BATMOBILES]. BARRIS, George (1925-2015). Archive of Later Photos of the Batmobile and Related Vehicles, Two Signed by Barris. [V.p., ca. 21st century]. Sizes generally 8 x 10" or a bit larger. Photos in color or black and white. Signed photos include one of the 1966 Batmobile deploying its parachutes (this photo is worn at lower edge with minor loss to image, not affecting signature); the other signed photo is of 3 Batmobiles (the 1966, 1989, and 1995 Batmobiles with Barris in the foreground). Also included is a later black and white photo of the Lincoln Futura, the vehicle used for the 1966 Batmobile, a color photo of a preliminary design for a similar vehicle with chauffeur, and two color photocopies of the same images of the 1966 Batmobile with caption.
Barris was one of the most prolific auto customizers for Hollywood film and television productions, as well as private citizens. Some of his cars include the 1966 Batmobile, the Munster Coach and Dragula (both from The Munsters), KITT from Knight Rider, the Wagon Queen Family Truckster (from National Lampoon's Vacation), and many golf carts for Hollywood celebrities.
One signed photo is very good; the others are fine.
