Chicago: Shasta Publishers, [1953]. 8vo. 250, [4, blank] pp. Publisher's blue cloth backstrip over burgundy boards, front board lettered in white, spine lettered in gilt, publisher's unclipped (?$3.00") dust jacket (front board bumped at lower edge ? this bump affects the first several text leaves, light rubbing to binding; jacket with several short creased tears at upper edge, minor soiling on rear jacket panel). Very good. FIRST EDITION OF THIS SCIENCE FICTION CLASSIC; THIS BOOK WON THE FIRST HUGO AWARD FOR BEST NOVEL IN 1953. This novel had been serialized in Galaxy Magazine in 1952.
