Bird Camera. Birmingham: Jack Hughes, ca. 1960s. A live dove in a cage vanishes ? along with the cage ? when the magician snaps a photograph of the bird. The camera in use suddenly transforms into the cage, holding the live dove, when the picture is taken. Camera rests on metal legs; height of table inclusive of cage 42". The only such prop manufactured by Hughes, constructed for the cabaret act of his daughter, Bernice (stage name Lynn Sharon).
