Blackstone, Harry (Henry Boughton). Blackstone Necktie Painted by Dorny. Circa 1938. Hand-painted silk necktie depicting Blackstone below a vignette filled with magical imagery. Accompanied by a 1972 statement of provenance, written by Sally Banks on the face of an envelope: “Ted & I had Dorny paint this for Harry one Xmas. About 1938. Just found it in a box of his.../Sally”. Mild yellowing and soiling.
