Dickens, Charles. Bleak House. London: Bradbury & Evans, 1852/1853. First edition, complete in the original 20 parts bound in 19 issues. Original light blue printed wrappers later rebound in quarter cloth over boards with vol. I wrappers at front and the other 18 wrappers, advertisements, and slips bound in rear. Illustrated with 40 plates including frontispieces, pictorial bastard title in vol. I, and in-text illustrations throughout. 8vo. xvi, 624 pp., ads present including the scarce ?Village Pastor? slip in XV. Wraps lightly soiled and chipped at margins, plates toned and foxed, else a very good collection of the original serial run.
