New York: Simon and Schuster, 1959. 8vo. 185, [1, blank] pp. Publisher's cream cloth backstrip over dark blue boards, spine lettered in gilt, publisher's unclipped (?$2.95") dust jacket (binding a bit toned, some sunning to upper edge of boards, some rubbing to boards, front hinge starting, text toned; light rubbing to jacket, a few small scuff-marks, light toning, foxing). Very good. FIRST EDITION, STATED FIRST PRINTING, SIGNED BY BLOCH ON THE TITLE-PAGE. Bloch was a prolific and award-winning writer of horror and science fiction, but Psycho is his most famous work; it is the basis of the groundbreaking thriller film (1960) directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
