Williams, Ira C. Bookplate Illustration Art for Dr. John Henry Grossman. Connecticut, ca. 1950s. Pen and ink on artist’s board. Illustrated area 7 x 5”. Together with a folder of draft pencil sketches on tissue paper, proof prints of the plate, and several Christmas greeting cards produced by Grossman. The artist was one of the chief illustrators for Petrie-Lewis. The Grossman bookplate is laid inside many of the books and periodicals in this section.
