Steel engraved portrait frontispiece in Vol. I, folding plate in Vol. III of Round Robin facsimile and a facsimile of Johnson?s handwriting (foxed with offsetting or browning to text from plates). Half brown morocco over marbled boards, raised bands, gilt titling in compartments, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers, stamp?signed by Weeks and Co. Binders (few tiny spots of rubbing at ends, occasional foxing mainly to titles and terminal leaves, 2F8 in Vol. II reinforced). A HANDSOME SET of this early 19th century edition of Boswell?s classic biography.
