Original blind?decorated red cloth lettered in gilt, brown coated endpapers (spine darkened, hinges weak); morocco?backed folding box (joints rubbed). FIRST EDITION of this collection of poems including the antislavery poem ?A Curse for a Nation? that had earlier been published in an abolitionist journal in Boston.
