BUKOWSKI, Charles (1920-1994). Bring Me Your Love. Illustrations by R. Crumb. Santa Barbara: Black Sparrow Press, 1983. 4to. [16] pp. Publisher's printed wrappers. FIRST PAPERBACK TRADE EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY BUKOWSKI TO PUBLISHER OF SUN DOG PRESS, ALLEN BERLINSKI ON THE TITLE-PAGE: "For Al Berlinski -- The more women you know, the more trouble there is. / Charles Bukowski". On the picture of the table on the title-page, Bukowski has drawn a flower vase.
This story is about Bukowski's alter-ego, Henry Chinaski, visiting his wife in a mental hospital. The basis of the short film (2020) of the same name, directed by David Morrisey. An excellent association copy, as Berlinski is a well-known Bukowski collector, and was a good friend of his.
