[CALIFORNIA]. Engraved discharge document signed by the California governor (?Fred Low?), 24 October 1866. One page (framed, 18 x 14?), recto and verso, accomplished in manuscript, original embossed gilt paper seal, countersigned by the secretary of state (a bit toned overall). Verso with a green embossed paper seal, signed by George B. Smith, Second Lieutenant of Stockton Light Artillery Third Brigade National Guard of California, also affixed with a CDV of Smith.
