Fine. FIRST EDITION OF THIS RARE SUPPRESSED CHAPTER, #113/300 COPIES SIGNED BY STEFANSSON. Half of these copies (the even numbered copies) were reserved for Stefansson, the other half (the odd numbered copies, like this one) were reserved for the publisher. ?The author states the mystifying facts concerning this island which he discovered and named, but which seemingly had appeared on a contemporary map showing [Frederick] Cook's journey, and which Cook denied having seen." (Arctic Bibliography 16850). This chapter was suppressed due to a threatened libel suit by Cook.
