Canel's Chicle Menta-Peppermint Gum. Mexico: La Victoria, S.A., early 20th century. Box of gum in original lithographed wrappers, with fragments of the original box depicting a stereotypical black caricature. Bound with old string and wrapped in paper dated 4-3-35 on the outside. Box crumbling and in delicate, as-found condition, but sticks very good. A scarce brand.
