Circular brass tray with scalloped edge and engraved Asian design, used in Cardini?s act to catch the billiard balls after his manipulation sequence. Diameter 10?. Shows wear. With an LOA signed by Cardini?s daughter, Carole. This tray, held by Swan Cardini, was used to prove the solidity of the billiard balls Cardini manipulated. When the wooden balls fell on to the tray, they made a distinct sound, thus disproving the thought ? however subtly ? that the balls could collapse or nest
