CESARE, Oscar (American, 1883?1948). Three Original Drawings and Etchings of Socialist and Fascist Leaders, two signed. Circa 1920s. Including an original pencil and wash drawing from life (11 x 8 ??) of the communist leader, Valerian Kuybyshev, SIGNED in his hand (published in the December 3, 1922 New York Times Magazine as a portrait of ?Kuybishoff?); an original graphite drawing from life (13 ? x 10?) of the Italian patriot, General Giuseppe ?Peppino? Garibaldi, SIGNED in his hand (published in the July 19, 1925 New York Times Magazine) and with several publishing notations; and a drypoint etching (13 x 9?) of Benito Mussolini with penciling near margins (Cesare met Mussolini and sketched from life).
