CHAPENDER, Martin (1879 ? 1905). Three Egyptian Hall Programs. London, 1904. Including two large-format programs and one 8vo, all for Chapender's appearances at ?England's Home of Mystery." On one program, Chapender presents the entire program. Two programs explain the ?fate of Egyptian Hall" and the firm's impending move to St. George's Hall. Old folds and wear; good or better. SCARCE; Chapender showed much promise as a stage magician, but died at the age of 26, just one year after these programs were printed. It was at his suggestion that London's prestigious Magic Circle was founded. Dawes? wrote about Chapender in The Rich Cabinet Collection Vol. 2, pp. 640-53.
