Bound in contemporary full mottled calf, spines elaborately tooled in gilt, tan and green gilt morocco lettering labels, marbled endleaves (skilfully rebacked preserving the original spines, some wear to bindings, occasional thumbsoiling or foxing in text). Very good. FIRST EDITION OF THIS FRENCH LANGUAGE VERSION TRANSLATED BY SUARD. With a noble or royal bookplate with motto (?Flammans Pro Recto?) on all fps.
