Comprised of letters, photographs, newspaper clippings, magazine articles, research notes, and photocopies related to the American magician and his infamous death on stage. Sold with: one sheet of unused Chung Ling Soo color lithographed letterhead gifted to Dawes by Will Dexter, with accompanying TLS; and The Magician Monthly, V14 N4 (March 1918) featuring an article about Chung Ling Soo that appeared shortly after his death. The whole loose in light brown folder holographically labeled by Dawes, 14 x 9 ??. Also included: The Riddle of Chung Ling Soo, Chinese Conjuror, by Will Dexter (Arco, 1976).
