Large and well-made hardwood tray with carved base and high sides, incorporating a secret panel that allows coins or other small objects placed atop the tray to be switched for other items concealed inside the base. With hinged door to conceal lower compartment. 9 ? x 17 x 2 ??. With a printed card stating, ?Coin Tray/ Property of the late / Chung Ling Soo.? Unusual large size, design, and mechanism; possibly used in Soo?s stage-filling effect titled The Dream of Wealth.
