Japanned tin, with double chimney, hinged door to access burner area (burner is lacking here), original thick domed glass lens, belt loop/carrying handles. Approximately 190 x 143 (including lens and handles) mm. Rusted metal, some wear through age and use. [Together with:] Brass field telescope with 3 draws. Main compartment wrapped in leather. 411 mm. extended, 155 mm. closed. Leather worn and chipped, brass a bit tarnished, draws a bit stiff, optics still working. An excellent group.
