Very good. FIRST EDITION IN THE RARE DUST JACKET. This book details her and her family's experiences during the Civil War. Her family was wealthy and owned six slaves. Her diary ends with passages about the loss of her two brothers, the fall of the Confederacy, and Lincoln's Assassination (?Our Confederacy had gone with one crash ? the report of the pistol fired at Lincoln.")
