Generally very good. Newspapers include: The New York Times (July 11, 1862), The New York Herald (April 29, 1864), Frank Leslie?s Illustrated Newspaper (October 15, 1864), The Richmond Weekly Enquirer (April 30, 1862), The Camden Weekly Confederate (June 1, 1864), New Orleans Daily Crescent (October 5, 1861), The Charleston Mercury (April 7, 1863), The North Carolina Weekly Standard (July 15, 1863 and May 27, 1863). Confederate newspapers have runaway slave notices, or advertisements for slave auctions.
