Included are: the unedited manuscript proof by Ballantine, two proofs by Ballantine (one in yellow, one in blue ? blue copy is signed), UK proof copy by Granada (signed). This title was the basis of the film sequel of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), titled 2010: The Year We Make Contact (1984) directed by Peter Hyams and starring Roy Scheider, John Lithgow, Helen Mirren, and Keir Dullea reprising his role as David Bowman.
