Included in this lot are: an hour-long cassette tape of Clarke answering interview questions, as posed by the interviewer, George Zebrowski (1945-2024) in the cassette's clear plastic box; the hand-addressed envelope by Clarke (return address in Sri Lanka) to Zebrowski in which the cassette was returned to him; interview transcript of 36 pages on white computer paper, with Clarke's hand-written notes and corrections in blue ink; a one-page autograph note signed by Clarke addressed to Zebrowski on Brown's Hotel stationery; six 6 x 4" original color photographs of Clarke taken during the interview; a color photocopy of the November 1926 cover of Amazing Stories, mentioned by Clarke at the beginning of the interview; a typed and signed provenance letter by Zebrowski, stating the provenance and circumstances of the interview; a photocopied biographical sheet on Zebrowski. A unique and fine grouping of one of Clarke's later interviews. From Zebrowski's provenance letter, dated February 28, 2001: ?This file contains all the original materials gathered for an interview with Sir Arthur C. Clarke, which was scheduled for the January 2001 issue of Amazing Stories; but with the cancellation of that magazine by Wizards of the Coast, Inc. the interview was withdrawn and all rights reverted? This interview may yet appear in another magazine, and all rights are reserved by George Zebrowski and Arthur C. Clake." This interview later appeared in print in Zebrowski's book, Talks with the Masters (Wildside Press, 2018), along with interviews of Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, and James Gunn. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D. Lacy. Measurements: 12 x 10 x 1".
