Full contemporary dark blue roan gilt, top edge gilt (spine a bit worn with small losses at ends). Copyright edition, SIGNED TWICE BY TWAIN on the title and dated Sept. 1893. Possibly a unique copy, with an interesting contemporary binding that was possibly intended for a special customer. A scarce edition, printed in a very small number to secure the copyright, of the final part of what would be published several days later in Hartford as Roughing It. BAL 3336.
