Collection of Chromat-O-Scopes and Lighthouse Slide Viewers. Alhambra: Owen Brothers, (for Chromat-O-Scope Co.), 1940s - 50s. Group of over 15 handheld slide viewers, including the wired ?Lighthouse? models, manufactured by Owen for Schwartz and his Chromat-O-Scope company. Includes several later plastic examples that replaced the wooden models made by Owen. With original boxes. One of a handful of non-magic items manufactured by Owen for others. Thousands of Chromat-O-Scopes were built and assembled at the Owen Brothers factory during and after WWII. Kodak was among the biggest customers for the product.
