Collection of Salvador Dali Press Photographs. 1974–1980s. Group of 11 black-and-white press photographs of Salvador Dali with agency stamps, typed captions, archive stamps, and editorial markings on versos. Images include Dali in a leopard-skin coat; Dali with Gala; Dali at press conferences; close-up portraits emphasizing his moustache; Dali presenting or standing near his artwork; press views of Dali paintings and sculpture; and a humorous image of Dali being attended to by several hands while wearing a wig. Agencies and stamps include SIPA Press, AFP Photo, Reportajes Mundiales, and Cine Mundial Archivo, with dates and captions including Paris Christmas holiday coverage, Figueras press conference material from 1980, and Mexican archive stamps from the 1970s. Various sizes, most approximately 4 x 7” to 8 x 10”.
Condition
Conditions vary. Editorial crop marks, grease-pencil notations, typed caption labels, archive stamps, handling wear, creases, edge and corner wear, surface scratches, and press-use wear throughout.

If your bid is successful, as an alternative to in-house shipping, we can provide you with a list of shippers. We will not be responsible for the acts or omissions of carriers or packers whether or not recommended by us. Property will not be released to the shipper without the buyer's written consent and until payment has been made in full. Packing and handling by us of purchased lots is at the entire risk of the purchaser, and Potter and Potter Auctions, Inc. will have no liability of any loss or damage to such items.
