Comic Book Display Cabinet from Joe Sarno's Comic Kingdom. Circa 1970s. Painted red wooden cabinet, with a Batman and Robin cut-out and The Shadow badge adorning the front. Four display racks, with fluorescent lighting, and locking cabinet with one shelf. 

This cabinet was used at the legendary Chicago comic shop Joe Sarno's Comic Kingdom (also formerly The Nostalgia Shop and The Fantasy Shop). Sarno opened one of the city's first comic book stores in 1971 and remained in business for over 40 years, relocating to several locations in Chicago, and finally Mount Prospect, before closing in 2003. Sarno was a founding organizer of the Chicago Comicon in 1976. As a dealer, he was responsible for handling several important collections, including a trove of Timely Comics titles now recognized by CGC as the "Chicago" pedigree.
