[COMIX]. Yellow Dog (20). Berkeley: Print Mint, 1968-1973. 19 issues, comprising nos. 1-7, 8 (2), 9/10, 16, 18, 19 (2), 20-25. The first 10 issues (#9/10 in one) are folded newsprint broadsides; at #16 the magazine switched formats to a traditional staple-bound gloss comic. "Published as weekly as possible," the newspaper was conceived an underground vanguard to the traditional Sunday comics section, featuring iconoclastic artists like S. Clay Wilson, Victor Moscoso, R. Crumb (who contributed several covers), and the first published work of Robt. Williams. The comic ran for 22 issues (numbered up to 25 due to combined-issues), concluding its run with a cover by Trina Robbins in 1973.
