[Bound with:] TILLINGHAST, Mrs. Mary. Rare and Excellent Receipts... London: 1690. Small 8vo. [1-4] [sic], 9-180; 30 pp. First work seems to be missing two leaves after the dedication. With 7-page second (more detailed) manuscript Contents section at the rear of both works in an unknown hand. Bound in contemporary full paneled brown morocco lined in gilt, rebacked to style in modern brown calf, red gilt morocco lettering label. THIRD EDITION OF THE FIRST WORK, UNSPECIFIED EDITION OF THE SECOND WORK. BOTH ARE SCARCE.
Condition
Boards worn, scuffed, hinges starting, text toned and occasionally soiled, chipped, upper margins trimmed a bit close on an angle, second work has neat manuscript pagination in order to continue the pagination of the first work. Still, good.
