[Crime] Seven Photographs of False Containers. Circa 1910s. Photographs of produce and liquid containers which have been modified with false bottoms or sides to cheat buyers of the amount said to be the capacity. Some on card mounts, with some hand-stamps and notations. In one image, the crates have been seized in a police raid. 5 x 7? or slightly smaller. Provenance: Collection of Victor Forbin, French writer.
