Dagger Chest. Birmingham: Jack Hughes, 1970s. The head of an audience volunteer is placed in a decorated wooden chest which is perforated by a host of metal daggers. When the doors are opened, the participant's head has vanished. The process is reversed and the volunteer is removed unharmed. Stencil-painted wood, with metal Packs flat. Hughes hallmark. With instructions. 15 ? x 12 x 13". Minor wear to finish; very good.
