Publisher?s deluxe binding of full brown morocco, front board and spine stamped in gilt, all edges gilt (spine a bit dull). COLLECTOR?S EDITION, #59/500 SIGNED BY DARNER. -- Hunting the Rockies. [Marceline: Walsworth Publisher, 1988]. 8vo. Illustrated.Publisher?s illustrated glossy boards (minor rubbing). FIRST EDITION. Several letters, brochures from Darner?s wife and publishing partner, Paula, who signed several letters. Darner was a record-setting hunter and outfitter in the 1970s and 80s; unfortunately, he was convicted of poaching and receiving stolen merchandise (animal carcasses) in 2008. He was banned for life from hunting.
