Oversize lobby painting shows Le Grand David (David Bull) in an Aladdin?s Cave-like setting, peering into an open chest. Text collaged from miniature playing cards. 65 x 33?. Frame worn, very good overall. Displayed in the lobby of the Cabot Theatre during the formative years of the long-running Le Grand David show, and of a significantly different, more fantastic style than the later paintings Heath and the company came to be known for.
