[DAVIS, Jefferson (1808-1889)]. Confederate presidential ticket for Davis and Stephens. 1861. 57 x 83 mm. Ballot on wove paper, some browning, unevenly trimmed. On 6 November 1861, Davis was elected president and Alexander H. Stephens for vice president of the Confederacy, whose offices were supposed to last for a six-year term but would be abolished 3 years later on 5 May 1865 when the Confederate government dissolved.
