[DAWES, Edwin]. Large Group of Nearly 200 Metal Printing Plates for ?A Rich Cabinet of Curiosities." [England, ca. 1972-1995]. Metal plates affixed to woodblocks, either etched or engraved. Sizes generally 3 x 4". The usual wear one would expect due to use for printing. Fine. Dawes' column appeared in the Magic Circular from 1972-2005. These plates represent most of the blocks used in Dawes' column prior to its being published digitally, picturing magicians, books, posters, and other conjuring-related subjects from his well-loved column.
