Folio (434 x 305 mm). 15 engravings interleaved with original protective cover sheets, several in text vignettes, errata slip at rear (occasional mild foxing to plates). Contemporary quarter plum morocco, gilt?lettered cloth covers, brown coated endpapers (extremities rubbed, small loss at foot, evidence of bookplate removal). FIRST EDITION, of this rare comparative study in architecture which forms an attempt to explain how the Great Pyramid of Giza was built using historic pyramidal structures from various civilizations. OCLC locates only 2 copies institutionally. We could not locate any copies on the market or selling at auction in the past century. Not in Ibrahim?Hilmy.
