De Kolta-Style Vanishing Birdcages. Lake Forest: John McKinven, ca. 1970s. Three oval-shaped wire cages of different designs, modeled on the Buatier de Kolta original, crafted by John McKinven for his own use. One solid; two collapse. Sold together with the cloth bag and brass pulley to aid in the performance of the effect. Collapsed length of longest cage 16?. Used as models and for experimentation; likely not performance-ready.
